Popular Argyll artist David Morrison recently passed away after a period of illness, and will be missed by many.
David studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee 1985-89, and exhibited in galleries across Scotland.
Living in beautiful Argyll, his usual subject matter were the lochs, boats, piers and villages of the Clyde.
The inspiration for his work came from the area, in Winter with its wide open desolate spaces, the greens of Spring,
the blues of Summer with many yacht sails. Hazy blue August days, harvest fields, giving way to rustic Autumn, then
back to the solitude of Winter; a natural rugged landscape with very few scars caused by man.
We are proud to be one of only 2 galleries to exhibit Davids original work, the other being the Roger Billcliffe Gallery in
Glasgow. We have 10 works on display, these are featured on this page. We also have a range of open edition prints.
