The Gallery is located in the West of Scotland, just over an hour away from Glasgow. To reach us from Glasgow, simply follow the M8 to Greenock and the A8 to Gourock, then take the A770. A crossing to Dunoon is operated by both Caledonian MacBrayne and Western Ferries. For details visit their websites, listed on our links page. Western Ferries usually offer the most economical pricing, the terminal is 2 miles beyond Gourock. Ferries depart about every 20 minutes and take 20 minutes to cross to the Cowal Peninsula. By road, once off the ferry, turn right and you are only 15 minutes from Blairmore on quiet country roads. Travel 5 miles north along the A815, then turn right for the A880 to Kilmun, Strone and Blairmore. A further 3 miles and you will see us in the heart of the village opposite the Pier. An alternative route from Glasgow is to cross the Erskine Bridge to Dumbarton on the A82. After following the A82 by Loch Lomond, take the A83 (heading toward Inverary), then the A815 heading for Dunoon. By bus: from Buchanan Street Bus Station there are regular buses which take you to the Western Ferry terminal. By train: from Glasgow Central Station, there are regular trains to Dunoon via Gourock where you board the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry to Dunoon. By Boat: in the summer the Waverley Paddle steamer calls at the pier and Clyde Marine operate a passenger service which links Blairmore with Helensburgh, Greenock and Kilcreggan.
